THE DASH FOR THE AXE 5K

A 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) foot race that circles around the scenic village of New Hope, PA--Smiley's course! Point your sneaks down Sugan Rd, pass your fellow slackers through the southern and eastern ends of our historic and hysterical village (along the beautiful Delaware River) and Dash for the Axe at the Firefighter's Finish. Get hosed down. Engine 46 is primed: Firemen will nozzle the 2.5-inch line so we don't have to smell you later. You're on fire! We'll save you. It's what we do.

THE 1-MILE FUN RUN

The Fun Run starts and finishes at the fire station and loops upon itself at the halfway point. The entirety of the course is paved (the Solebury Trail) with its shoulders on grass, so bring your strollers and/or your dogs!

Plenty of free parking is available at the fire station. St Martin of Tours has kindly offered their lot too, just a quick walk or jog away. Refreshments will be available to all pre- and post-race. A static display of our Fire Trucks surely will intrigue any and all, so come early to look us over!
